The University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO) provides investment management services to the University of Virginia and affiliated entities and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating investment strategies for a $8 billion investment portfolio. The Manager of Corporate Accounting works independently to provide vital information and support to management and reports to the Director of Corporate Operations. Responsibilities include:
1.Manage all corporate accounting/operations activities including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, taxes, banking, cash and operating company investments, expense and payment approvals, payroll administration, corporate insurance portfolio, office management function, and all related compliance 2.Management and supervision of corporate accounting/corporate operations staff 3.Ad hoc reporting and special project work
Position Requirements Include
-Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, business administration, or finance and a minimum of five years related professional work experience -Minimum of two years of related supervisory experience -Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax and payroll administration and compliance -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting and payroll systems ? experience with Microsoft Dynamics, ADP Workforce Now, and/or Concur systems a plus -CPA or CMA
