The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee the Corporate Accounting department. This position is responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, budgeting, costing, developing internal accounting controls, managing A/R, A/P and month end, quarterly and annual reporting in conjunction with the operating team.

Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
Participate in the development and support the company’s strategic plans
Manages budget and controls expenses effectively
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advises management of actions and potential risks
Hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical position
Arranges for audits as required and appropriate
Heavy costing including cost workup and cost report out on product lines
Implement and monitor monthly, quarterly and year-end close out accounting schedules
Drive efficiencies in the accounting processes to include
Cash to Cash
Order to Cash
Record to Report
Manage Weekly Cash Flow
Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
TECHNICAL SKILLS OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
5 or more Years of experience in managing an accounting function
Advance Excel User
Strong budget, financial forecasting and financial skills require
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration
Specialist areas of experience preferred:
Cost accounting in a manufacturing setting
5 – 10 years manufacturing experience is a preferred plus

This position is directly responsible for leading managers of the division and indirectly responsible for all employees within the division.
