Real Estate Analyst. Our Client is an ambitious and dynamic property investment management company with a well-established reputation in the property market. They are a growing market leader who are looking to take on a proactive and determined Investment Analyst to join their ever-expanding team.
The Role will include the following duties;
Assisting with strategic projects in property investment which include fund launches, starting and acquiring property businesses.
Assisting with investor reporting.
Analysing commercial investment opportunities.
Presenting acquisition, re-letting, refurbishment and re-development opportunities to the team.
Working with various customers and colleagues i.e. valuers, architects, contractors, planning consultants.
Assessing new investments.
Monitoring existing assets.
Developing detailed financial models in Excel
Developing scenario analysis.
Preparing investment papers with clarity and precision.
Presenting materials succinctly.
Updating cashflow models of existing investments.
Performing detailed research on the real estate investment market.
The person must have at least 2-3 years' investment analysis experience at a real estate firm or institution with an undergraduate degree in finance or real estate. The applicant must have outstanding Excel modelling skills with the ability to create cash flow/DCF's. Additional IT skills are also needed such as the use of Powerpoint to be able to create presentations for investors. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work to independently and to own initiative. The incumbent will be able to work well in a team and thrive in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment.
