The Financial Sponsors Group offers dedicated coverage to the world's most successful private equity firms, providing clients with services and products throughout all stages of leveraged buy-out by combining Morgan Stanley expertise in M&A advisory, leveraged finance, equity and derivative products and industry and market knowledge.
Lead business development for the Financial Sponsors team, prepare weekly meeting memo and present at the meeting; liaise with industry and regional coverage teams in identifying deal opportunities
Maintain internal process pipeline and oversee client pipeline materials and other BD materials (PE environment, etc.); participate in client pipeline discussion meetings
Assist industry and regional teams with buyer lists
Monitor priority portfolio assets list, liaise with the FSG team and industry/regional coverage to update
Oversee revenue tracking and monthly revenue reporting
Prepare quarterly strategic business review materials
Help with the organisation of the annual European Financial Sponsors conference
Bachelor's Degree, applicants with advanced degrees will be considered
Strong academic background
Fluency in English is essential
Solid numerical and analytical skills, combined with a strategic mind set and ability to analyse and value businesses; knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts
Familiarity with investment banking deals and processes; Familiarity with private equity players and processes is a plus
Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; strong attention to detail
Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks; Strong organizational skills
