Job Purpose (Job Summary): The Vice President will be part of the core investment team. You will support the Principals in the investment process. Among your responsibilities will include the evaluation of primary and secondary interests in venture capital and buyout funds as well as direct co-investment opportunities. This will encompass top down market research, screening and review of offering memoranda, meeting with fund managers, and quantitative and qualitative due diligence on partnerships and companies. The VP will also be involved in monitoring existing partnership positions as well as attending annual meetings and industry conferences. The role will also include writing industry white papers and other one-off projects as needed. Over time, the VP will also be expected to network and develop relationships in the GP community.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum 7 years investment banking or investment management experience (private equity or venture capital experience a plus, experience in technology/startup companies may be considered)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (VBA a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to be a team player
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
Bachelor's degree from top institution required.
License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
CFA / MBA preferred, but not required.
