REAL ESTATE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE , MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Real Estate Group-Portfolio Management , to assume a high visibility position in the Portfolio Management Group, working closely with senior management and members of the asset management, transactions, and development teams. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining complex asset-level and portfolio financial models to analyze various operational and capital events; synthesizing asset-level data to derive key characteristics and risks of the portfolio; managing portfolio reporting needs; assisting with preparing and reviewing internal investment memoranda to management team, key decision makers, and board members; participating in key discussions regarding overall portfolio investment strategies and performance enhancement; aiding in annual appraisals and valuation processes; identifying and implementing opportunities for improved performance/efficiencies; and completing ad-hoc tasks.
MITIMCo's real estate group serves as an owner, operator, and developer of a high profile real estate portfolio located exclusively in Cambridge and has a current gross market value of $2.5 billion.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years' relevant real estate experience in investment banking, investment management, private equity, or asset management; intimate knowledge of real estate fundamentals and value drivers; understanding of implications and considerations of various capital sources including debt, joint venture capital, etc.; superior organizational, analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to follow through and work efficiently and accurately under pressure and tight deadlines; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
