The SEI Corporate Events Team is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination and execution of SEI sponsored marketing events, conferences, investment seminars, client entertainment events and internal events.
The Meeting and Events Manager will be required to work in a team environment with other members of SEI's Events Team in addition to the SEI Business Units. The Meeting and Events Manager will be responsible for coordinating SEI sponsored conferences, seminars, and client entertainment events as well as internal employee events, training, etc.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage projects from initial planning through to final execution and post event follow up Develop comprehensive event plans, evaluate and recommend event sites, recommend speakers, assess audio visual requirements, maintain attendee records as well as other meeting logistics Serve as a liaison between SEI business units and events vendor partners Coordinate activities with all on-site vendor representatives Negotiate contracts with hotels, audiovisual vendors, decorators, special advertising companies, etc. Ensure that all meetings and events are consistent with Business Unit strategy, positioning and budget Participate in special team/business development projects
Adhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance Ability to maintain discretion as appropriate and remain calm under pressure
Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience with meeting and event planning, preferably in the financial services industry Outstanding customer service skills Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry qualification (or equivalent) desired Strong negotiation and communication skills Excellent organisational and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and adapt to unexpected changes in a fast paced environment Demonstrated attention to detail Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office knowledge preferred along with a willingness to learn new technologies as required
