Your role Product Development and Management, Alternative Investments, Wealth management, US
Product Management of existing Alternative Investments. Manage the day to day business of Hedges funds, real estate Funds, PE funds and Fund of Funds on the Alternative Investments Platform. Client reporting and communication. Communication with our financial advisors. Work on restructurings and reorganizations and other changes to funds on the platform.
Innovate and drive change to the way we service our clients and advisors.
Work with sales, due diligence, operations and fund sponsors to manage existing products. For example, ongoing financial advisor and client performance reporting (production and distribution), internal website management, marketing and education, communication on extraordinary events, work with sales and financial advisors to implement requests that come from clients regarding products.
Initiate new projects that will enhance the client and/or financial advisor experience.
Review and disseminate revised documentation and receive relevant approvals from various UBS parties. Communicate changes or events with product sponsors.
Work on the development of new products by taking them through structuring, creation of operating model, launch and initial funding. Work closely with external partners as well as sales, due diligence, legal, compliance and marketing to bring all parties together to create an optimal and efficient product. This role's focus is on structuring and analyzing new products (not investment analysis). Negotiating agreements, structures, and fees is a key part of this role as is reviewing and creating marketing materials. Need the ability to understand complicated concepts and determine key risk items and disclose in clear and concise ways to our clients.
Work with legal counsel on offering materials, understand and review due diligence considerations to couple such considerations with the product structuring and to educate sales and operations and finance on structural issues, work on marketing materials, obtain internal approvals.
Your team UBS Alternative Investments US ("AI US") provides alternative investment solutions for high net worth clients of UBS Wealth Management US. AI US has over approximately $20 billion in assets under control across hedge funds, private equity, real estate and managed futures. The platform consists of third party products, proprietary fund of funds and proprietary feeder funds. Products can range from privately placed offerings to registered public offerings.
The Alternative Investment US Product Development and Management team is responsible for product development and management of products on the Alternative Investment Platform offered to clients of UBS Wealth Management Americas. The team is responsible for structuring and launching innovative alternative investment products, managing such products, working on projects that create a positive impact to the firm's financial advisors and clients including education, marketing, structuring, risk and compliance and any other projects that relate to the alternative investment platform.
Your experience and skills
8-15 years of experience in alternative investments, high net worth clients and/or wealth management, preferably on another broker dealer/bank platform
Excellent verbal and written skills; an ability to present complex ideas and key messages effectively and in simple terms to others; high attention to detail and solid analytical skills
Team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance on high demand & time-sensitive initiatives
Have excellent project management skills and ability to work with many different groups at UBS to get a product approved, obtain advice or buy-in on solutions
Have the ability to understand processes and be able to map out requirements and end-to-end assessments with the end goal of identifying gaps
Multi-task and juggle multiple projects at once, but stay on top of all initiatives so as to deliver on time and in set scope
