Carnegie Consulting
Private Equity - Qualified Fund Accountant
Our client is a sizeable Private Equity business in central London. Due to the growth in the business, a new role has been created to join the Finance team. The requirement is for someone in a Fund Accounting capacity. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), preferably from a Private Equity firm but potentially will consider someone from a fund administrator or someone from an accounting practice with experience auditing funds.
Responsibilities You will manage a range of accounting and operational responsibilities for a number of entities, with tasks ranging from client drawdowns and distributions, investment contributions and distributions and related accounting entries, responding to investor queries and assisting with all aspects of fund operations. You will also be responsible for the monitoring of the assistant accountants' workflow.
Experience required The successful candidate will be a confident and committed individual, with keen attention to detail and a self-disciplined and organised approach to work. You will need to ensure a large number and variety of tasks and responsibilities are completed within tight timescales. The ability, therefore, to manage multiple priorities effectively is very important. The individual must be an advocate of change, thriving in a dynamic environment responding to the business needs. As part of a small team, strong communication skills are essential.
