Our client is Invest Europe, one of Europe's most influential trade associations in the financial services industry. Their contribution to policies affecting the entire private capital investment industry is widely recognised and continues to support its sustainable growth in Europe. The new hire will be a key member of the research department which provides insight and interpretation of critical data on private equity in Europe. The position is based in Brussels, Belgium. RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will perform industry wide research and performance analysis, creating presentation material and handling other ad hoc information requests
Recognise market trends, monitor external research articles and publications on the private equity industry as well as wider economic factors affecting it
Conduct desk research and create presentations for internal and external use. Create, maintain and update data files on industry related topics
You will be responsible for the coordination of deliverables of internal and external teams collecting pan-European private equity industry statistics
Analysis of industry data
You will attend meetings with the public affairs and communications teams, working in an integrated / cross-disciplinary role; it will be your job to work with the data and to package it in a way that the other teams can successfully leverage it
YOUR PROFILE:
Master degree in Economics, Finance or related disciplines
Internships in the financial sector are a plus
You should have strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers, confident in understanding and presenting figures and statistics in a comprehensive manner
Very strong command of Microsoft Excel is essential; knowledge about Power BI is a plus, but not necessary
You are a quick learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
You are a team player who is organised, accurate and able to work independently
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent oral and written English skills. Knowledge of additional languages, in particular French, are advantageous
