Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate Venture Capital funds investment opportunities.
Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities.
Documentation: summarize call notes, enter deals into CRM
Network with peers in other Venture Capital Firms and fund managers
Perform Due Diligence and gather information from the target VC funds and industry experts
Research and talk to existing references and investees of the target VC funds
Conduct background checks on the current management of the target funds
Help preparing internal investment memos
Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who works on own initiative with light supervision. Confident and positive, high-energy, cultured, capable of easily interacting with senior management.
Flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required.
Requirements:
Degree from a top university
Minimum 2-6 years of experience in fund of funds, venture capital, corporate strategy, corporate finance, M&A or technology-focused private equity is preferred. Experience in Entrepreneurship or start-ups would also be considered.
Exposure to technology fields is a bonus.
Native in Mandarin with fluency in English is a must
Strong passion in the Venture Capital industry in China
Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
Strong written and verbal communication skills
