Team Manager European Financial Controlling (M/F) Who we're looking for We are looking for someone dynamic who will integrate an established European finance team. You will manage a team of financial controllers focused on entities owned by Schroders across EMEA. You will be a team player, support and contribute ideas and assist to run new projects. You have good knowledge about the funds industry.

The team The finance team provides a range of accounting and reporting services to various Schroders businesses including private assets (real estate, infrastructure, private equity...). This position will report to the European CFO. What you'll do
Team management; providing backup support to team members
Create control framework within Financial Control and Accounting area
External and internal reporting reviews ensuring timely submissions
Revenue, cost and cash oversight,
Escalate issues (balance sheet reconciliations, etc) to senior management
Risk control assessment review
Review service level agreements and procedures for the Continental European entities
Act as a Finance Business Partner across Europe (regular update with Local Offices / key stakeholders / business heads)
Collaborate closely with other teams as part of a multi-disciplinary team within Schroders in Luxembourg and abroad;
Liaise with the external auditors, local accountants and tax advisors,
Financial statements review (IFRS and local GAAP) including consolidations,
Provide ad hoc analysis
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to liaise with senior management, peers and other team members;
Focus on quality and timely delivery
Demonstrating integrity and accountability
Well organised with hands-on problem solving attitude
Strong analytical skills with high affinity with numbers
Good business sense
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles (Accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, ACA) would be an advantage)
Experience in tax, good understanding of VAT matters
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
Ability to work in a matrix structure
Good level of Excel knowledge
Accounting software user and administration skills (e. g. ORACLE, SAP)
Asset management industry understanding
