Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking a SeniorClient Development Specialist. The location for this position is flexible, with the following markets preferred: Florida, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. The Senior Client Development Specialist assists in implementing programs that support practice group business plans and enhance the business and reputation of the firm. The incumbent will successfully assist in managing multiple competing priorities within a matrix environment and establish solid working relationships with diverse personalities across multiple offices.
Works with the Senior Client Development Manager and practice leadership to develop and implement business development plans to support practice group goals
Develops client-specific presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and other client-facing materials
Tracks completed matter details and manages practice submissions for directories, databases, and other publications as needed
Supports senior manager in tracking the corporate group’s M&A deal activity and assists in the preparation of quarterly League Tables
Assists in the planning and execution of sponsorships and client events
4+ years of experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100, financial services, or professional services firm, in a business development or marketing role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm, and to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with team members with varying perspectives
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
Experience working with the Private Equity and Investment Banking industries preferred
