About our client
Our client, a leading global private equity fund, is currently looking to hire a Portfolio Associate to specialise in the more operational and data-driven elements of their direct and co-investment activity. The fund, which has been established for over 30 years, invests across a range of strategies and asset classes, having had a fantastic growth and performance period over the past couple of years. Having raised a new fund last year, they are not intending on slowing down their activity and have plenty of investments and acquisitions lined up - making it a very exciting time to join. As the Portfolio Associate, you will gain immediate exposure to a wide range of activities including portfolio construction and investment allocation, fund management, portfolio analysis and reporting, along with working hand-in-hand with multiple internal teams.
What the job involves
This is a brand-new hire for the fund and due to it being part of a relatively new team, there will be plenty of room for autonomy and progression. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with some great data and operational experience, ideally with previous exposure to the alternative investments space, to become an integral member of the team.

• Analyse fund capacity, reserves, investment allocation and investment performance
• Maintain and analyse the investment group database and KPIs
• Prepare and maintain monitoring materials for all aspects of the portfolio
• Assist with the implementation of group strategic initiatives, ad-hoc operational project and group management
• Participate in ad-hoc projects in relation to the existing portfolio

Who we are looking for

• Experience working within the consulting or investment management space
• It would be advantageous to have experience within the private equity or credit space
• Strong data and process management skills
• Previous exposure to operational lead tasks for both business and portfolio
