About our client This is an exciting opportunity in private equity within the life sciences sectors, including pharmaceuticals, outsourced research and manufacturing, healthcare-tech, healthcare services and biotechnology. The individual will source investment opportunities and manage the deal team, taking minority and majority positions in companies in the life science sector globally. The role will also involve managing assets, including taking a seat on the board of investee companies. What the job involves
Building a pipeline of investment opportunities, primarily across the Americas
Developing an investment thesis, advocating investments at investment committee
Leading risk management,due diligence and deal structuring related to specific transactions
Managing assets, including advising at board-level
Creating a business plan, and holding leadership accountable for delivery
Who we are looking for
A background in M&A advisory or private equity investing in life sciences firms, within an international private equity environment
Special expertise in life sciences sectors: including pharmaceuticals, outsourced research and manufacturing, healthcare-tech, healthcare services and biotechnology
Experience of closing complex transactions
Sound judgment and grounding in risk principles
Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility to coach and influence from board level
Credible with portfolio companies C-suite, takes accountability for results and influence with sound judgement, credibility and high humility
