Goodman Masson have partnered with a leading macro hedge fund who are looking to recruit a Fund Controller to report directly into the Global Head of Fund Accounting.
Unlike a lot of other roles within hedge funds, this role offers a good work-life balance and flexible working (3 days a week in the office). You will still get the benefits of working at a high performing hedge fund though - great bonus potential (up to 40%), challenging and complex work in a fast-paced environment and working with incredibly smart and talented people.
This role is well suited to a qualified accountant with around 2-4 years post qualified experience. They are open to people who have had fund accounting experience across any asset class (i.e. Real Estate, Private Equity, Infra or any traded products) or alternatively, someone coming from Practice with experience working with funds or investment clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Review the investor allocation and fee structures
Oversight of the accounting of the underlying investments
Review of daily accounting for the fund
Manage the relationship with the external Fund Administrator
Involvement in the fund audit process and deliver accurate year-end Financial Statements
Dealing with Fund related queries, working closely with Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury and Compliance
Review of regulatory reporting requirements
Review and implement processes to improve controls and workload associated with monthly NAV process
Enhance the fund accounting infrastructure through various projects
