TRAINING PROGRAM
The IED program begins with a 6-8-week training and development curriculum to equip you with the fundamental and professional skills needed to be successful in IED. You will learn about a wide variety of products and services throughout IED, preparing you to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, client facing, and market driven environment. You will also participate in training and study sessions to prepare you for any required licensing and registration exams. Along with formal training, you will be assigned a mentor when you arrive at the Firm.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a world leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Division services a global Institutional client base providing clients with innovative product solutions that help to generate alpha within their portfolios.
Cash Equities: Morgan Stanley is a global leader in executing transactions in cash equity and equity-related products for institutional clients around the world. These products include common stocks, global depository receipts and exchange-traded funds.
Sales teams work closely with Chief Investment Officers, Portfolio Managers, and Traders to deliver meaningful market insight and expertise, facilitating introductions to product experts throughout the Division and Firm to help clients successfully achieve their investment objectives.
Equity Derivatives: Across global equity derivatives markets, Morgan Stanley is a leading provider of execution services and solutions. Our product suite encompasses equity options, equity swaps, warrants, structured notes and futures on individual securities, indices, and baskets of securities.
Sales & Trading teams are responsible for helping Institutional clients identify and implement cost-efficient, suitable trading solutions, providing pricing and liquidity, managing firm risk.
Prime Brokerage: For more than 30 years, Morgan Stanley has set the standard for excellence in the Prime Brokerage space. Our strong client relationships, market-leading technology and seasoned product experts have positioned us as an industry leader in financing, market access and portfolio management.
Our Capital Introductions, Business Consulting, Swaps and Risk teams each play a critical role in the day-to-day management of hedge fund operations, positioning our clients to raise new capital and effectively fund their businesses.
Client and Business Analytics: The Client and Business Analytics (CBA) team provides the senior management of Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading division with strategic client insight that creates a competitive advantage for the firm. The team provide mechanisms to identify, analyze, and prioritize new business opportunities with clients. They evaluate and integrate data from multiple sources including but not limited to revenues, interactions, and votes to create intelligence and insight around trends of the IED client business. They also help facilitate cross-firm communication and coverage on top sales & trading accounts.
Quantitative Finance: Quantitative Finance (internally referred to as strats) are key participants, together with sales & trading, in the revenue generating activities of the equity division. They work closely with the trading desks and are primary drivers for new products, opportunities and strategies, while delivering innovative solutions that combine knowledge of the securities, workflow, regulations, market microstructure and technology.
Fund Services: Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is a leading fund administration business with ~$500 billion assets under administration and 1,000+ professionals across New York, London, Dublin, Glasgow, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hong Kong. MSFS services a global institutional client base, providing hedge funds, multi-asset class investors, family offices and private equity firms with innovative product solutions. Primarily, MSFS provides accounting, investor servicing, reporting, tax, middle and back-office support, and portfolio analytics. MSFS employees work closely with the Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Portfolio Managers, and investors of our clients.

COMPENSATION
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 85000 and 125000, commensurate with experience, per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
