The Department of Finance at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for a new tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor. Employment will begin August 2025. The department seeks a faculty member who can complement our strength in investments and corporate finance. We are especially interested in candidates who can teach courses in some of the following areas:
Private Equity/Venture Capital Fixed Income Financial Planning Corporate Finance Financial Modeling.
In addition to teaching, this position requires mentoring finance students, participating in university service, and engaging in appropriate scholarship.
The finance program at IWU is growing rapidly. With a 12-terminal Bloomberg lab, major insurance companies headquartered in town, and close connections to the financial industry in Chicago, the number of students studying finance is growing rapidly. We seek to find a new faculty member who can complement our strengths, specifically integrating our Bloomberg lab into courses.
Candidates must have graduated from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants are expected to have earned a PhD by August 1, 2025. Candidates with an MS/MBA and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
