Transaction Advisory and Valuation Manager
The person in this full-time position will conduct buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements, lead valuation engagements, and manage client relationships. While we prefer candidates with at least 3 years of professional-level project management experience, we would still like to hear from you if you embody the traits of an entrepreneur—passion, self-starting attitude, excellent communication skills, flexibility, strong vision, and confidence.
Expectations for consideration
- Perform buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients
- Assess the subject company’s quality of earnings, key risk areas, cash flows, potential liabilities, and working capital
- Communicate with and present findings to the client executive team
- Perform valuation engagements per AICPA and IRS guidelines for various purposes, including gift/estate tax, litigation, M&A transactions, equity compensation, financial reporting, shareholder buyouts, and disputes.
- Build valuation models using accepted Income, Market, and Asset approaches
- Work closely with clients and their advisors to understand their business and industry, and apply this knowledge to the valuation project
- Present valuation conclusions and key drivers to clients and their advisors
- Consult with business owners to develop exit/succession plans to help clients achieve their long-term goals
- Serve the needs of the client by planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional risk management projects
- Coordinate with managers in all phases of the engagement, including the execution of the project deliverables, communications with the project team, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling
- Manage client relationships
- Identify further areas of value-add to create opportunities for future projects
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- BA or BS in Business, Accounting, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of professional-level project management experience required
- Transaction Advisory or Valuation experience preferred
- Understand professional standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements along with the firm's policies and procedures
- Travel to and from client locations as needed
Salary range commensurate with experience.
