Job Description
PIMCO's Alternative Investment complex established a Corporate Asset Management team to bring operating experience and perspective to the investment lifecycle. Responsibilities include the evaluation and underwriting of new opportunities, working with boards and management teams to optimize and grow existing investments and turn around challenging situations. Corporate Asset Management works across private equity, private debt, real estate, and special situations strategies and is expanding its presence to ensure robust coverage of the existing portfolio of companies and growing global pipeline of new investment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with Portfolio Managers across the PIMCO Alts platform to diligence, underwrite and manage corporate credit and private equity investments
Bring an operating perspective to the due diligence process when evaluating new corporate investments, including the evaluation of management and their strategy, business model and competitive dynamics, review and model financial performance, go-to-market strategy, operations, and governance
Assist portfolio companies with the development and execution of strategic and transformational initiatives, leveraging outside advisors and experts where necessary
Lead initiatives in internal reporting and KPI set up and subsequent monitoring
Support intensive turnaround and carve-out situations
Have oversight and monitoring responsibilities across a portfolio of investments
Clearly and concisely articulate findings and strategic recommendations internally
Travel expected
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience including some combination of private equity/venture capital operating team, consulting/investment banking or corporate executive experience
Experience working across multiple industries and investment strategies
Prior experience building relationships with multiple stakeholders, including portfolio managers, company management, Boards of Directors and external partners
Proven ability to navigate a complex global organization
Strong analytical skillset with the ability to summarize and interpret financial and operating data
Entrepreneurial mindset
Leadership capabilities and proven influencing skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 200,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
